1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Another version says "Our love for each other proves that we have gone from death to life. But if you don't love each other, you are still under the power of death."
The only proof that we are born again is not just to speak in tongues but to love one another as God loves us. Owe no man anything except your love.
Since God is love, and all blessings comes from him, then to get bless by God we have to walk in love because hatred cannot collect what love is offering.
The yardstick used to allow anyone to enter heaven is LOVE because that is where God resides.
The perfect example of love Jesus. Despite Peter's denial of Jesus, Jesus never referred to the issue after his resurrection nor reflect it in his actions. Instead Jesus handed over the new testament church to Peter meaning Jesus didnt allow Peter's past to determine his future.
Let the past go, forgive everyone and avoid quarells and offences.
